2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors weren't firing. When I crank the engine with no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline leap out, however the 4th one stays shut. I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car will start if the G28 is disconnected and runs fine when it is connected but it still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar but the actual pressure is 0.
I'm not certain what to do, but i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. But i am afraid I may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump of the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is the same as the G4 and they both work in the 80 100, 200, UrS and RS2 cars which is why you can easily locate one at a junkyard or from a parts store.
